Lisa Drayer, M.A., R.D., is a nationally known nutritionist and health reporter who has helped many individuals improve their health and achieve their weight loss goals. As a regular contributor to CNN, Lisa started CNN’s “Breakfast with Daybreak” segment, where she produced and delivered reports on breaking health and nutrition news on CNN’s Daybreak edition. She contributed weekly health reports to CNN Headline News, and appeared as the in-house nutritionist for the network’s primetime newscasts, based in Atlanta. In addition to CNN, Lisa was a regular nutrition and health contributor to WCBS-TV in New York.
Lisa’s on-air reports have made her a trusted health authority, with a loyal viewer following both locally and nationwide. She recently received the American Dietetic Association’s Media Excellence Award, given on behalf of ADA’s 70,000 members.
Lisa has been a columnist, contributing editor and spokesperson for Women’s Health since its launch in 2004. She is also the featured nutritionist on the magazine’s DVD series. Lisa received her B.S. with Distinction in nutritional sciences from Cornell University, where she also received the Robinson Award for Academic Excellence for achieving the highest Grade Point Average in the College of Human Ecology. She is currently a member of the President’s Council of Cornell Women. Lisa was also the recipient of the New York State Dietetic Association Scholarship. She completed her dietetic internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
